About The Artist

Although Hannah trained as a sculptor, since leaving art school painting has now become the forefront of her practise.

Using canvas she creates large scale paintings inspired by the composition of colours, landscapes, architecture and light. The work is focussed on a layering process and mark making which involves adding taking away paint.

These works can take weeks or months depending on the flow. They are driven by emotion and also often inspired by music. Isolation is also a key feature in most of Hannah’s work – segregating sections to let the mark-making breathe gives this work a gentle aesthetic that sometimes feels dreamlike.

Hannah accepts commissions and if you are interested please drop us an email, give us a call, or simply drop by the shop where you can see her artwork in several businesses around West Byfleet including London House where she created three paintings for their fine dining Michelin guide restaurant.
